I Became a mediator to prevent couples who have decided to dissolve their marriage, stay out of court and end their marriage with fairness and integrity.

My background and experience has been specializing in couples and family therapy. Although I do see clients individually I will explore the relationships of family and influences that may contribute to the presenting problem.

Additional credentials are as follow: Dana has been trained in mediation at the Center for Mediation and Training and is a member of the NYS Council for Divorce Mediation and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works in child welfare and with families in crisis.  She completed her post-graduate training at The Ackerman Institute for Family Therapy, specializing in family systems and couples treatment. In addition, she developed a network group supporting women managing their families while establishing their career. She is also a Family Grief Therapist with Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital. As a member of the Mental Health Profession Panel, Dana has been appointed by several  New York City and Long Island Courts: Family Court,  The Appellate Division , Supreme Court, First and Second Judicial Departments as a qualified expert Clinical Social Worker. My assigned cases have been of the following, Custody evaluation, Domestic Violence, Decision making, Visitation, and Interference with parental rights.
